UCLA assistant Carnell Lake resigns

Carnell Lake is resigning as an assistant football coach at UCLA.

Head coach Rick Neuheisel said Monday that Lake is leaving after one season for family reasons.

Lake, who played at UCLA and in the NFL, had coached the Bruins' cornerbacks since arriving in January 2009. The Bruins ranked second in the Pac-10 in pass defense.
