Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck is a 35-year-old with tons of energy and known for coming up with quirky ways to surprise his team to combat the dullness of the grind that can come with playing college football.

Fleck came up with one of his coolest stunts yet to surprise walk-on Kasey Carson with a full scholarship.

It started with Fleck coming out onto the field dressed in full pads.

He told the team that if someone could stop him from scoring one-on-one at the goal line, the team could skip that evening's meetings. The only catch is Fleck got to choose who he went up against. "I need someone my size -- give me Kasey Carson," he said.

Carson stepped up and stonewalled his coach.

The team went crazy, but that wasn't the end of the surprise.

Fleck directed everyone's attention to the video board, where a message from Sylvester Stallone and WMU alum Alec Gores awaited.
