Michigan tight end Jake Butt's exemplary junior season has him among the semifinalists for the John Mackey Award, which goes to the best player in the country at his position.

Butt is Michigan's No. 2 pass catcher so far this season and leads all Big Ten tight ends with 38 catches for 500 yards.

He is the only Big Ten or even northern semifinalist for the Mackey Award.
