Diontae Spencer scored on a 91-yard run, the longest rushing play for a touchdown in school history, as McNeese State defeated Weber State 35-21 Saturday night.

Javaris Murray also scored on a long run, rambling 76 yards for the Cowboys' final touchdown as McNeese State (3-0) rushed for 301 yards in the game. It was the Cowboys' fifth straight game with 200-plus yards rushing - all victories.

Murray finished with 122 yards rushing, and Spencer added 106. Cody Stroud completed 20 of 27 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown as McNeese State piled up 557 yards of total offense.

Weber State (0-3) got a pair of late scores after McNeese State led 35-7. The Wildcats were held to 257 yards of offense and committed nine penalties for 100 yards.

Spencer's TD run broke the record of 90 yards held by Henry Fields in 1994.
