(STATS) - Lehigh will get right to the task at hand next season when it opens Patriot League action against defending champion Colgate as part of an 11-game schedule announced Monday.

The matchup against Colgate on Oct. 8 is one of five at Goodman Stadium, where the Mountain Hawks went 4-1 as part of a 6-5 season last year. The two teams have usually met later in the Patriot schedule in recent seasons.

In coach Andy Coen's 11th year, Lehigh also will host Monmouth (Sept. 3) and Princeton (Sept. 24) out of league and Fordham (Oct. 29) and Bucknell (Nov. 5) within the Patriot League.

The road portion of their schedule also sees the Mountain Hawks wrapping up the regular season Nov. 19 against rival Lafayette in the 152nd meeting of college football's most-played series.
