Eastern Kentucky outguns Coastal Carolina 35-17

Eastern Kentucky's T.J. Pryor hit Tyrone Goard for a 77-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter for a 21-7 lead, and the Colonials defeated Coastal Carolina 35-17 on Saturday.

Eastern Kentucky (2-1) outrushed Coastal Carolina 217 to 106 yards, with Matt Denham carrying 22 times for 121 yards and a touchdown. Denham, who surpassed the 2,000-yard mark for his career last week, now has 2,183 yards and 11 games of 100 or more yards.

Pryor (6-for-10) and Jared McClain (7-for-8) were a combined 13-of-18 passing for 225 yards and a touchdown. Goard caught four passes for 113 yards. The Colonels outgained Coastal Carolina 442 yards to 339.

Aramis Hillary threw for 205 yards and a touchdown for the Chanticleers, and Niccolo Mastromatteo caught 10 of them, tying a Coastal Carolina record, for 96 yards and a touchdown.
