Based on past results, USC vs. Stanford should be a very close game

Stanford dominated USC at the Coliseum in September 41-31. However, that margin of victory was the largest in the series over the past six meetings.
In fact, the combined margin of victory in the last six showdowns is just 33 points -- including one game with 3OT's. Stanford has won four of those games, while USC has taken two of the last three.
Stanford comes into the game as the favorite, but that may not be a great sign for the Cardinal. In each of the last four meetings between Stanford and USC, the underdog has won outright, including this season's victory by the Cardinal.
