Abilene Christian staves off Stephen F Austin, 35-32

ABILENE, Texas (AP) De'Andre Brown ran for 132 yards and three touchdowns, including the 20-yard game winner with 5:59 remaining in the game, helping Abilene Christian to a 35-32 victory over Stephen F Austin on Saturday.

Abilene Christian (2-1, 2-0 Southland Conference) lost a 27-12 late third quarter lead but rallied late to pull out the win.

Stephen F Austin (0-4, 0-2 Southland) scored three straight touchdowns, including two long touchdown passes of 38 and 44-yards from Zach Conque to Justice Liggins and Robert Sylvester, to give the Lumberjacks 32-27 lead.

The lead was short-lived, however, as the Wildcats went 75-yards on 11 plays on the subsequent possession to take the lead for good.

Cedric Gilbert finished with 153 yards receiving and two touchdowns for Abilene Christian.

The Lumberjacks were led by Conque's 272 yards and three TD's.

It was the first time Stephen F Austin played at Abilene Christian since 1984 when both teams were in the Lone Star Conference. Abilene Christian joined SFU in the Southland Conference last year.
