Towson beats George Mason 75-54 for fourth straight win

TOWSON, Md. (AP) Mike Morsell scored 20 points and Towson won its fourth straight game, beating George Mason 75-54 on Wednesday night.

William Adala Moto added 17 points, John Davis 13 and Byron Hawkins 11 for the Tigers (5-3).

Marko Gujanicic had 12 and Otis Livingston II 10 for the Patriots (3-5). Shevon Thompson grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Tigers led 30-28 at halftime then opened the second half on a 10-0 run that started with a 3-pointer from Hawkins.

The Patriots cut the lead to five, 45-40, with 11:58 left via a 7-0 run in which Gujanicic scored five points. The Tigers responded by outscoring the Patriots 21-7, including 14 points from Morsell, over the next seven minutes to lead by 19, 66-47, with 4:18 remaining. The lead reached 23 points with a minute to go.

This was the 42nd time the programs have met and the first time Towson has beaten the Patriots on its home floor since 1992.
