LIU makes 20 3-pointers, has 39 assists in 125-84 win

NEW YORK (AP) — Ty Flowers had a season-high 25 points as Long Island romped past Centenary (New Jersey) 125-84 on Saturday, making a season-best 20 3-pointers and collecting a program-record 39 assists.

Flowers shot 11 for 13 from the field. He added six assists. Julian Batts led the Sharks with eight assists to go with his eight points.

Devin Nicholson had season highs of 18 points on six 3-pointers for Long Island (5-8). Virshon Cotton added 17 points. Raiquan Clark had 15 points.

It was the first time this season Long Island scored at least 100 points. The Sharks made 20 of 53 from the arc for 38%.

Long Island put up 60 points in the first half, a season best for the team.

Owen Roberts III had 17 points for the Division III Cyclones. Chris LaBelle added 11 points.

Long Island takes on Mount St. Mary's on the road next Saturday.
