LAS VEGAS (AP) The promoter for jailed boxer Carlos Molina says attorneys in Wisconsin, Nevada and California are working to free the title-holding fighter following his arrest earlier this month in Las Vegas.

Molina remained jailed Monday on an immigration hold. He was arrested March 4 on a January 2007 warrant issued in Wisconsin accusing him of failing to register as a sex offender.

The 30-year-old Molina was born in Mexico, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in California say he was previously deported in 2006.

Promoter Leon Margules says Molina faces an April 8 extradition hearing in Las Vegas on the Wisconsin warrant.
