Two weeks after suffering a finger injury in a team scrimmage, Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon may be on the verge of making his preseason debut.

On Thursday, the Jaguars announced the players already ruled out for Saturday night's game against the New York Giants and the rookie from Alabama's name was absent from the list.

Yeldon, who has worn a non-contact jersey in practice since suffering the injury Aug. 8, said he's anxious get some game experience.

“I’m very excited,” Yeldon said, per the team's official website. “It would be my first time playing in an NFL game. I wanted to play last week, but I couldn’t, so I’ll be glad if I get a chance to play.”

Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said veteran Denard Robinson is likely to get the start at running back against the Giants and that Yeldon will be a game-time decision.

“We’d like to see him, but I think it’s risk-reward: where are we at with his injury?’’ Bradley said. “We’ll err on caution.”

Bradley also said defensive end Roy Miller, who missed the preseason opener against the Pittsburgh as he works his way back from offseason knee surgery, would be a game-time decision as well.

“He’s going to go through warmups and see where he’s at,” Bradley said. “We expect him to play, though.”

The Jaguars ruled out wide receivers Marqise Lee and Neal Sterling, tight end Julius Thomas, defensive end Chris Clemons, defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, safeties James Sample and Johnathan Cyprien, offensive tackle Brennan Williams and cornerback Peyton Thompson.
