Hawks’ Jeff Teague acting cryptic on Instagram; is trade near?
Last week, the Atlanta Hawks’ Jeff Teague reportedly put his 4,325 square foot Atlanta penthouse up for sale. Earlier Tuesday, Teague deleted all of his Instagram posts related to the Hawks. Was a trade imminent?

Many speculated Teague was on the way out. ESPN even reported the Hawks are taking offers for the longtime Atlanta point guard. But amid trade rumors, Teague remained faithful to his team on social media.

A few hours after reports surfaced explaining Teague had deleted all posts on his Instagram related to the Hawks, Teague shared a photo of a custom Hawks-themed Uno deck on his Instagram.
From Jeff Teague directly: Instagram photos were deleted some time ago. Nothing to read into it.

So how do we make sense of all this? It’s hard to conjure much meaning from the happenings on Instagram, though it’s interesting to say the least. It’s unclear why Teague would have pulled all Hawks-related posts from his Instagram; such an action was likely concerning for those who want to see Teague remain in Atlanta.
The Hawks-themed Uno post, on the other hand, provides reason to believe he’s staying with his team. More likely than not, the Hawks have not yet decided what their plans are for Teague. But as the trade deadline approaches, expect more information soon.
Teague has played with the Hawks for seven seasons; he was selected by Atlanta in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft. It’s impossible to really understand what’s happening with Teague by looking at his Instagram, but it’s still fun to try.
