Panthers vs. 49ers MNF Highlights: 49ers Win After McCaffrey's Big Game vs. Old Team

Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season concluded with a matchup that carried playoff implications for both teams as the San Francisco 49ers (8-4) defeated the Carolina Panthers (6-6) on Monday Night Football.

The primetime contest ended a long wait for 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey, who faced his former team for the first time since being traded to San Francisco during the 2022 campaign. The dual-threat dynamo played well to help the Niners, currently third in the NFC West, stay afloat in the playoff picture and preserve their shot at a division title.

Carolina, much like it has all year, showed tremendous fight on Monday night, with its defense turning in one of its best showings. The unit gave the Panthers several chances, but the return was lacking with quarterback Bryce Young, lead back Rico Dowdle and the offense struggling against 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh's banged-up but tough group.
