Lions vs. Vikings Week 17 Highlights: Dominant Minny Defense Ends Detroit's Year

The Lions (8-8) were fighting for their playoff lives entering Thursday, needing to win out in order to get back to the postseason for a third straight year. But, as it turns out, the Vikings (8-8) made sure that didn't happen.

Minnesota, led by an outstanding defensive performance, bested Detroit in a spirited win despite being knocked out of playoff contention a couple of weeks ago. The win was the Vikings' fourth in a row, with rookie quarterback Max Brosmer making his second start with J.J. McCarthy sidelined.
