Mays will enter the transfer portal, he announced on his personal X account.
Impact
Mays caught 18 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns in his redshirt sophomore season. The wideout will now look for a new home with two years of eligibility remaining.

Demond Claiborne - Chasing NFL Dreams
Claiborne will enter the 2026 NFL Draft, per Conor O'Neill of Rivals.com.
Impact
Claiborne had quite a career at Wake Forest, especially during his junior and senior seasons when he was the undisputed top tailback. He totaled 2,599 rushing yards and 429 receiving yards and scored 28 touchdowns as the most dangerous player on the Demon Deacons' offense for two straight years. His production and consistency should have plenty of NFL teams interested.

Tate Carney - Won't play in bowl game
Carney (transfer portal) won't play in Wake Forest's bowl game against Mississippi State, per Conor O'Neill of Rivals.com.
Impact
Carney announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 12, and Demon Deacons' head coach Jake Dickert told reporters no player who plans on entering the portal will play in the bowl game. Carney, who has just one carry for nine yards this season, has two more years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

Impact
During 2024, Lodge logged more than 10 receptions and 100 yards. But for 2025, his limited season includes zero counting stats. It may end that way come the Duke's Mayo Bowl between Wake Forest and Mississippi State, scheduled for Jan. 2.

Impact
Ashford has now set a season high in passing yards for a second straight game, capping off his regular season with a massive 342 passing yards. His 27 completions were also a season high. His increased volume was accompanied by a pair of turnovers, though. Ashford will end the regular season with 2,159 passing yards, a 9:7 TD:INT, 504 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.

Impact
Claiborne has finished with fewer than 70 yards from scrimmage for a second straight game. The senior tailback has slowed up after a hot start to the campaign, totaling 368 rushing yards and 67 receiving yards across his final six appearances. He'll end the regular season with 907 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, while averaging 5.1 yards per carry.

Impact
Racanelli almost matched his Weeks 1-13 receiving yardage total (167) in Week 14 alone, setting season highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets. He scored his first touchdown of the campaign. The senior transferred in from Montana after catching 30 catches for 409 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.
