Chris Barnes - Logs 91 all-purpose yards
Barnes (undisclosed) logged three receptions for 19 yards and a 78-yard carry during Saturday's 52-14 win against Delaware.
Impact
While healthy, Barnes has logged at least two receptions for each of Wake Forest's 2025 games. But in Week 13, most of his all-purpose yards came from one carry. In between Weeks 0 and 13, Barnes logged 54 rushing yards, meaning he surpassed the tally with his lone rushing attempt Saturday.

Robby Ashford - Effective in win
Ashford was 15-for-25 passing for 191 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-12 win over North Carolina. He also had 10 rushes for 52 yards with one touchdown.
Impact
Ashford had split work with Deshawn Purdie in previous weeks, but he handled all of the quarterback work during Saturday's win. He completed at least 60 percent of his passes for the first time since Week 6 and just the fourth time in nine games. Ashford scored multiple touchdowns for just the second time all year.

Demond Claiborne - Breaks touchdown drought
Claiborne totaled 23 rushes for 98 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 2 of 3 targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 28-12 victory versus North Carolina.
Impact
Claiborne had racked up eight touchdowns across his first six games of the campaign, but went three straight appearances without a score until Week 12. A 12-yard scamper in the second quarter broke the dry spell, and Claiborne finished the contest with his most yards since Week 7. Through 10 games, Claiborne has rushed 154 times for 812 yards (5.3 ypc) while catching 23 passes for 110 receiving yards.

Carlos Hernandez - Unstoppable in win
Hernandez logged six receptions (on 10 targets) for 100 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-12 win over North Carolina.
Impact
Hernandez had combined for two receptions and 15 receiving yards over his last three games before breaking out against UNC. The junior wideout set season highs in receptions, targets and receiving yards while reeling in his first touchdown of the campaign. Additionally, he saw just his second rush attempt of the year, which he took to the house from 51 yards out. The increased workload was largely due to the absence of Micah Mays (undisclosed) and Chris Barnes (undisclosed).

Mays (undisclosed) is set to return to practice for the Demon Deacons on Tuesday morning, per Deacons Illustrated.
Impact

Chris Barnes - Will be back at practice Tuesday
Barnes (undisclosed) will be back at practice Tuesday morning, Deacons Illustrated reports.
Impact
Barnes practicing on Tuesday indicates that there will be a progression of the wide receiver potentially being available Saturday against Delaware. Transferring from Washington State to Wake Forest has paid dividends for the top wideout with 34 receptions (on 52 targets) for 504 yards and three touchdowns this 2025 season.

Harry Lodge - Good to go Saturday
Lodge is off the injury report ahead of Saturday's game versus North Carolina.
Impact
Lodge, who has missed the last five games due to an undisclosed injury, is now off the injury report and available to make his return to the field. He was not targeted during his four healthy games, so he's not expected to make much of an impact in his return.

Chris Barnes - Unavailable vs. Tar Heels
Barnes (undisclosed) won't play against North Carolina on Saturday.
Impact
Barnes was a question mark all week, and the Demon Deacons' top receiver made it to game day but is ultimately out against the Tar Heels. The redshirt freshman has 34 grabs for 504 yards this fall, but in his stead, Carlos Hernandez and Sterling Berkhalter will need to step up.

Micah Mays Jr. - Out again
Mays (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game against UNC.

Chris Barnes - Question mark vs. UNC
Barnes (undisclosed) is listed as questionable for Wake Forest's tilt with North Carolina.
Impact
Barnes has yet to miss a game this season. The Demon Deacons' leading receiver, who's reeled in 34 catches for 504 yards and three touchdowns, is now in danger of changing that against the Tar Heels, however. Keep an eye on Barnes' status as Wake Forest continues to release injury reports ahead of kickoff.

Chris Barnes - Quiet in upset
Barnes gathered in 2 of 7 targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 16-9 victory versus Virginia.
Impact
Barnes was the only Wake Forest wide receiver to catch multiple passes Saturday as the quarterback combination of Robby Ashford and Deshawn Purdie completed nine passes total. The second-year wideout has seen at least seven targets in three of his last five games, and he's totaled 19 receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns during that stretch.

Demond Claiborne - Season high in carries
Claiborne posted 25 carries for 75 yards and gathered in all two targets for eight yards during Saturday's 16-9 victory against Virginia.
Impact
Claiborne may have received his most volume in a game this season, but he struggled with efficiency as Wake Forest went without an offensive touchdown and had issues moving the football. In his last three games, Claiborne has turned 62 carries into 175 yards (2.8 ypc), while catching five of seven targets. He averaged 7.8 yards per carry before the dreadful three-game stretch.

Deshawn Purdie - Handles three drives as backup
Purdie was 2-for-7 passing for 18 yards during Saturday's 16-9 victory over Virginia.
Impact
Purdie served as the backup to Robby Ashford on Saturday, but that didn't prevent Purdie from being under center for three drives. The sophomore quarterback struggled when on the field, completing merely two passes for 18 yards while providing no rushing yards.

ROTOWIRE
Robby Ashford - Starts, cedes work to Purdie
Ashford completed 7 of 16 passes for 46 yards during Saturday's 16-9 victory over Virginia. He also had 11 rushes for 57 yards.
Impact
Ashford has been dealing with injuries in past weeks and had previously split work with backup DeShawn Purdie. The veteran quarterback yielded three drives to Purdie during Saturday's upset, and while his passing numbers weren't great, Ashford topped 50 rushing yards for the fourth time this season. He's completed 13 or fewer passes in five of his eight appearances in 2025.
