Impact Kern's right hand collided with a defender's helmet during Wake Forest's team practice Tuesday, injuring one of the quarterback's fingers. Though the injury will not prevent his summer or fall availability, he will miss at least multiple weeks of spring camp, maybe even all of it. Kern's absence is expected to open up more practice snaps for Hank Bachmeier, who is competing alongside Kern to be Wake Forest's starting quarterback in 2024.
