Washington hosts Boston after Sheary's 2-goal game

BOTTOM LINE: The Boston Bruins visit Washington after Conor Sheary scored two goals in the Capitals' 6-3 win against the Islanders.

Washington finished 11-12-2 in division play and 18-10-5 at home during the 2019-20 season. The Capitals averaged 3.4 goals on 32.0 shots per game last season.

Boston went 14-6-3 in division action and 22-10-3 on the road during the 2019-20 season. The Bruins scored 227 total goals last season, 57 on power plays and five shorthanded.

The teams face off Saturday for the first time this season.
