Wild say Schultz's season over due to concussion

Published Apr. 2, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

The Minnesota Wild say defenseman Nick Schultz will miss the rest of the season with post-concussion symptoms.

Schultz was injured in December and has been dealing with concussion-related issues ever since.

The Wild also announced Saturday that defenseman Marek Zidlicky would miss Minnesota's game against the Lightning as well as Sunday's at Detroit with a lower-body injury.

Minnesota entered Saturday's game against Tampa Bay 10 points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with five games left.
