ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Wild have placed right wing Justin Fontaine on injured reserve to set their initial roster for the regular season.

The Wild also assigned defenseman Mike Reilly to their AHL affiliate Tuesday and placed center Jordan Schroeder on waivers. Fontaine has an unspecified upper-body injury and can be activated at any time.

That meant rookie center Tyler Graovac made the team. He's been on the third line during training camp with Thomas Vanek and Charlie Coyle.

With Nate Prosser also around for depth on defense, the Wild decided to send Reilly to Iowa so he could play regularly. The 22-year-old played for the University of Minnesota the past two seasons.
