Watch Jaromir Jagr become third NHL player ever to reach 750 career goals
Ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr already has a plethora of accomplishments and statistical feats under his belt, but he added yet another on Thursday night.
The Panthers forward scored his first goal of the season, which also happened to be the 750th goal of his 23-year NHL career. Jagr becomes just the third player in league history to reach the milestone, joining Gordie Howe (801) and Wayne Gretzky (894). I guess you could say that's some pretty solid company to be in.
As ridiculous as it is that Jagr is still playing -- and playing effectively -- at the age of 44 in a league that is increasingly dominated by youth, it's even more insane to think about how much more inflated his stats would be if he didn't go play overseas for three seasons while in his 30s.
Fortunately, Jagr will probably live forever and continue to smash records for the enjoyment of us mere mortals.
