U.S. airman returns home early to surprise family at Hurricanes game

It's about to get a little dusty in here.

On Saturday night, the Carolina Hurricanes honored the family of Master Sgt. John Edwards of the U.S. Air Force, who has spent the past six months overseas. The 'Canes invited the Edwards clan to the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets to recognize them for their sacrifice while their husband and father was away.

But right after the family turned their attention to the video screen to see a special message from Edwards, they were greeted with the real thing. It was a touching moment for the family as they ran to hug Edwards, and tears were flowing freely.
