That's gold: Bill and Dave Christian medals up for auction

Bill Christian and Dave Christian are selling some prized possessions from their decorated hockey careers.

The father-son duo has decided to auction off their Olympic gold medals as well as dozens of other pieces of memorabilia collected through their success on the ice over the years.

Heritage Auctions will conduct the public sale in New York the weekend of Feb. 20-21. The company estimates the collection will fetch more than $500,000, including a $300,000 value on Dave Christian's gold medal from the 1980 U.S. Olympic team that produced the ''Miracle on Ice.''

Dave Christian says the items have spent more time in a safe than on display, so he and his father figured the time was to sell.
