Stars get Ott back, put Burish on injured reserve

The Dallas Stars have activated forward Steve Ott from injured reserve to replace forward Adam Burish, who is expected to be out at least four weeks with a broken left hand.

Burish was put on injured reserve Thursday, two days after he got hit on the hand by a puck shot by a teammate in a game.

Ott missed six games with a hip injury. He is expected to play Friday night when the Pacific Division-leading Stars are at Colorado.

Burish had three goals and five assists in 16 games. Last season, he missed eight games with a fractured orbital bone and another 11 games because of a lower-body injury.
