Sharks return home, facing 2-0 deficit to Penguins

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) The San Jose Sharks have returned to their home ice, hopeful the shift in venue will help spark a climb back into the Stanley Cup Finals with Pittsburgh.

After losing the first two games to the Penguins by one-goal margins despite being outplayed through much of the action and outshot 71-48, the Sharks are back at the comfort of the SAP Center. They're 7-2 there during the playoffs this year.

The Sharks have a couple of hurdles to clear. First-line forward Tomas Hertl won't play in Game 3 on Saturday night because of a lower-body injury. Then there's NHL history. Of the 49 teams who've taken a 2-0 lead since the final adopted a best-of-seven format in 1939, 44 have won the Stanley Cup.
