Senators set to host 2012 All-Star Game

The Ottawa Senators will host the 2012 All-Star Game.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman made the announcement in Ottawa on Wednesday.

The game will be played on Jan. 29, 2012, at Scotiabank Place, with the festivities beginning a few days earlier on Jan. 26. It will be the first time Ottawa has hosted the game.

The Carolina Hurricanes will host the 2011 All-Star Game in Raleigh, N.C.
