Ottawa left wing Nick Foligno will be out six to eight weeks after breaking his right leg against the Montreal Canadiens.

Foligno was struck by Montreal defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron's slap shot with about six minutes remaining in the third period of Ottawa's 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday. He left the game and did not return.

The team said after the game that Foligno had broken his leg.
