Senators call up G Ben Bishop

Published Mar. 5, 2012 7:10 p.m. ET

The Ottawa Senators recalled goalie Ben Bishop from the club's American Hockey League affiliate Monday and reassigned fellow goalie Robin Lehner.

Bishop was acquired by the Senators from the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 26 in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2013 draft.

Ottawa general manager Bryan Murray made that deal after starting goalie Craig Anderson cut a tendon in the pinky finger on his stick hand while making a meal at home.
