The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed veteran free agent goalie Patrick Lalime to a one-year contract.

The 36-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Sabres as Ryan Miller's backup. He went 4-8-2 for the Sabres last season, posting a 2.81 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.

Over 12 seasons, he is 200-169-48 with a 2.57 GAA, and he became the 66th goaltender in NHL history to record 200 career wins last season in a victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in March.

In 1996-97, Lalime set a league record for the longest unbeaten streak by a rookie goalie to start a career by going 14-0-2.
