Report: Minnesota alumni to wear North Stars-themed Wild jerseys

Published Aug. 18, 2015 2:44 p.m. ET

While it's uncertain how the Minnesota Wild and North Stars alumni will mesh as a team, they'll likely look good when they take the ice at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus.

The Wild alumni will wear a green North Stars-themed jersey with the team's logo on the front while the North Stars' contingent will have stars on their chests, according to Vintage MN Hockey. Collectively, the group will tangle with former members of the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 20.

The Wild/North Stars' contingent will be highlighted by Neal Broten, Dino Ciccarelli, Mike Modano, Bobby Smith and Gilles Meloche along with Brad Bombardir, Andrew Brunette, Darby Hendrickson, Antti Laaksonen and Wes Walz among others. Lou Nanne and Tom Reid will coach the Minnesota group.

Chicago also will be well represented as Ed Belfour, Denis Savard and Jeremy Roenick have been confirmed to play in the exhibition. Tony Esposito and broadcaster Pat Foley will coach the Blackhawks.
