Report: Avalanche sign defenseman Stuart to 2-year extension

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Brad Stuart has signed a two-year, $7.2 million extension, according TSN.

Stuart, 34, was acquired from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for two draft picks in July.

In 61 games with the Sharks last season, Stuart totaled 11 points and a plus-4 rating.

Stuart has played 15 seasons (985 games) in the league, scoring 77 goals and adding 245 assists for 322 points. He is plus-14 for his career.
