Red Wings call up McCollum, send down Mrazek

DETROIT (AP) The Detroit Red Wings have recalled goaltender Tom McCollum from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL and assigned goalie Petr Mrazek to the Griffins.

McCollum re-signed with the Red Wings this summer after spending the 2013-14 season on an AHL contract. He was drafted by Detroit in the first round in 2008 and appeared in one NHL game during the 2010-11 season, playing 15 minutes in a relief appearance.

Mrazek has appeared in 11 career NHL games since 2012-13, going 3-5-0 with a 1.80 goals-against average.
