DETROIT (AP) The Detroit Red Wings have scratched forward Daniel Alfredsson from their lineup for Game 3 against the Boston Bruins because of a back injury.

Joakim Andersson played in place of Alfredsson on Tuesday night.

Alfredsson did not have a point in the first two games of the opening-round series. He shared the team lead with 49 points during the regular season, his first with the Red Wings.

Boston had defenseman Matt Bartkowski in the lineup after the flu led to him missing both games in Boston. Bartkowski replaced Andrej Meszaros, who appeared to be a healthy scratch.
