Rangers' Gaborik returns from concussion

Published Mar. 6, 2011 12:46 p.m. ET

Top-line forward Marian Gaborik is back in the New York Rangers' lineup after missing six games and much of a seventh because of a concussion.

Gaborik returned Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers. It was during New York's previous meeting with Philadelphia on Feb. 20 that Gaborik sat out the final two periods after reporting that he didn't feel well.

The right wing has 17 goals and 21 assists in 47 games this season. He skated Saturday for a fourth straight day and said he was symptom-free.

Defenseman Ryan McDonagh also returned after sitting out one game because of a knee injury. Center Erik Christensen and defenseman Steve Eminger were healthy scratches.
