Puppy love: Ryan McDonagh reveals his dog's attempts to sabotage luggage

If anyone is wondering why Ryan McDonagh's bags smell on road trips, blame his dog. The New York Rangers captain took part in a series over at The Player's Tribune on athletes' dogs and he revealed that his French bulldog, Franny, has had a foul-smelling effect on his belongings.

According to McDonagh, Franny once hid a bone that was particularly smelly in McDonagh's luggage without McDonagh knowing.

"I was on a road trip and couldn’t figure out why my bag smelled so bad," McDonagh told The Players' Tribune. "I finally searched through my bag only to find that Franny had buried her bone at the very bottom underneath all my clothes. It was pretty stinky."
