Predators sign defenseman Klein

The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Kevin Klein to a three-year, $4 million contract that runs through the 2012-13 season.

Klein has appeared in 48 of Nashville's 49 games this season and has already tied a career high with eight assists. He also has 93 blocked shots.

This is his second full season with the Predators. The team announced the signing Tuesday.
