The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Victor Bartley to a three-year, $2 million contract.

General manager David Poile announced the deal Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Bartley made his NHL debut this season and played in 24 games for the Predators. He ranked fourth in average ice time with 19 minutes, 32 seconds.

The 6-foot, 212-pound native of British Columbia in Canada started the season in the AHL in Milwaukee where he had 26 points in 54 games and played in the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic. Bartley signed as a free agent with Nashville in May 2011 after spending the 2010-11 season with Rogle in Sweden's second division.
