Perron still feeling concussion symptoms

Published Nov. 28, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

St. Louis Blues forward David Perron said he's feeling better but still experiencing concussion-like symptoms from an elbow to the head by the Sharks' Joe Thornton earlier this month.

Perron said headaches haven't been as severe, and both he and general manager Doug Armstrong are hopeful the forward can return to the lineup soon.

Perron finished the Nov. 5 game and scored a goal in a 2-0 victory, and reported concussion symptoms the next day. Perron was looking down to take a pass in the neutral zone and didn't see Thornton coming out of the penalty box when he was hit. He didn't believe Thornton was trying to injure him.
