Perron leads Oilers to 5-2 win over Canucks

David Perron had a goal and an assist and Ryan Smith scored the winner in the Edmonton Oilers' 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in a preseason game Saturday night.

Sam Gagner, Nail Yakupov and Will Acton also scored for the Oilers.

Mike Santorelli and Jannik Hansen replied for the Canucks.

Santorelli opened the scoring 1:20 into the first and Gagner tied it up on a power-play goal with 7:01 left in the period.

Perron put the Oilers ahead 4:13 into the second on a short-handed goal.

Smyth scored goal at 15:58 of the third. Hansen got the Canucks within one just 40 seconds later, but Yakupov scored 49 seconds later to restore the Oilers' cushion and Acton closed it out with 1:12 left.
