Penguins' Talbot practices, but won't return soon

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Max Talbot has practiced with his teammates for the first time since scoring both of their goals in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.

Talbot, who had surgery in July to repair a torn labrum in left shoulder, wore a red jersey that signified he could not be involved in contact during Monday's practice.

While Talbot is skating and working on his shooting, he is not expected to play for at least another month to six weeks. After the surgery, doctors told him that returning in four months would be risky and that it would be safer to wait for five months -- or sometime in early December.

Talbot scored both Penguins goals in their Stanley Cup-clinching, 2-1 victory in Detroit on June 12.
