Penguins LW Kunitz leaves after taking hit

DETROIT -- Pittsburgh Penguins left winger Kris Kunitz left Saturday's game late in the second period after taking a hit from Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk.

Kunitz wasn't expected to return. He scored his 17th goal earlier in the game.

Kunitz has 38 points (17 goals, 21 assists) and is plus-31 in 72 games this season.
