The Florida Panthers traded center Dominic Moore to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday for a second-round pick in the 2011 draft.
Moore, signed by the Panthers as a free agent after the start of the season, had eight goals and nine assists in 48 games for Florida. The six-year veteran also has played for the Rangers, Penguins, Wild, Maple Leafs and Sabres.
His most productive season came in 2008-09 when he had 13 goals and 32 assists while splitting time between Toronto and Buffalo.
Also Thursday, the Canadiens recalled defenseman P.K. Subban from Hamilton of the AHL. The 20-year-old Subban, drafted in the second round in 2007, had 11 goals and 28 assists in 52 games for the Bulldogs this season.
