Ottawa mayor fulfills loser duties of bet with Montreal mayor
There was a little redecorating around Ottawa this week after the Senators lost to the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the playoffs. Ottawa mayor Jim Watson honored a deal with Montreal mayor Denis Coderre requiring Watson to wear a Montreal jersey for a day and raise a Canadiens flag in front of Ottawa's city hall, according to MTL Blog.
To make matters worse, Mayor Watson wore a P.K. Subban jersey. Subban was booed by Ottawa fans every time he touched the puck, and he earned even more of Ottawa's ire in the series after slashing Senator rookie Mark Stone in the wrist in Game 1 on a very controversial play.
