NHL suspends Colorado F Tucker for 1 game

Colorado Avalanche forward Darcy Tucker has been suspended one game by the NHL for making ``excessive physical contact'' on an icing play in Monday night's game against the Kings.

Tucker was assessed a minor penalty for tripping Kings player Matt Greene on the play, which occurred at 10:13 of the third period.

He will forfeit $11,658.03 in salary and Colorado's game Wednesday night against Los Angeles.
