The New York Islanders have been a team that develops prospects, especially over the last few years. The list spans from recently selected Islanders to some who have even skated on NHL ice. Bleacher Report ranked the top 10.

The one that everyone has talked about being ready is Mathew Barzal. He came in as the Isles top prospect in 2016-2017. Will he see NHL time this year? It seems like a possibility depending on how strong of a camp he has.

Other notables on the list are Kieffer Bellows, the Isles top pick from this past draft coming in at number two. It was a bit surprising seeing him ranked so high but you can’t argue his talent and potential.
