New York Islanders Daily: Garth Snow Still Has Faith
The New York Islanders GM Garth Snow still has faith in the Islanders despite their extremely slow and disappointing start to the season.
On Friday Garth Snow reiterated his faith in Jack Capuano and the New York Islanders. It’s no secret the Islanders got off to a slow start this year and many in the media and the fanbase are clamoring for changes.
Garth Snow says not so fast. “Jack, the staff, our players, I have a lot of confidence in everyone in that room. The great part about facing adversity is you see who rises to the top. It doesn’t always feel easy for our fans. When you face adversity, it’s a great challenge, and I look forward to seeing who rises to that challenge.”
The only issue with this ideology is the fact that these guys shouldn’t have yielded that kind of response. Jack Capuano has yet to show as a coach that he can overcome adversity in any aspect.
The continuation of the shuffling the lines will only keep the Islanders stagnant. It sounds like Snow isn’t even considering a trade but he should be.
The Isles need to do something quick to get this thing in gear. There’s no way the Islanders can go on any kind of run how they are currently constructed.
