Murray hints at uncertainty with Boudreau

Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray was asked about Bruce Boudreau's future. Normally, general managers offer their support for their head coach. Murray's answer wasn't quite so clear.

"Far too early to tell you what I’m thinking. I’ve got lots of thoughts in my mind and I’ve got to sort them out,” Murray said.

Yikes.

Boudreau and his Ducks lost Game 7 to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final. It marked Boudreau's sixth Game 7 loss in his entire career.

Murray wasn't happy about the Ducks' effort, starting in the second period of Game 6 when the Ducks surrendered three goals.

"We did not react properly whatsoever," Murray said. "All structure, all everything, went right out the window. Wasn't impressed by it at all. The unanswered question is still the structure when we get under stressful periods. When you're not playing well, you have to fall back on your structure. It failed us in a critical moment. That's what I'm evaluating."

Boudreau is signed through the 2016-17 season.
