NHL linesman Brad Kovachik had to leave the ice in the second period of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals between the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning after injuring a leg.

Kovachik was standing against the side boards near the Lightning blue line when Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay checked Kevin Klein of the Rangers into the linesman. Play continued for a few seconds before the officials stopped play with Kovachik unable to stand. He was helped off the ice.
