VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman sustained an upper-body injury during the second period of the Lightning's 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night and didn't return to the game.

Lightning coach Jon Cooper said that Hedman ''is probably done'' for the rest of Tampa Bay's road trip, which has four games remaining.

The 23-year-old Hedman appeared to favor his right hand before leaving about halfway through the game.

''It's unreal how these things happen, but he is going to go back to Tampa and get re-evaluated, Cooper said. ''We're hoping for the best.''

Hedman has three goals and four assists in five games this season.

''We're going to test our depth,'' Cooper said. ''It just puts a little more pressure on the (defensive) core.''
