Lightning beat 'Hawks in preseason game in Winnipeg

Simon Gagne had a goal and two assists and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Stanley Cup champion Chicago 4-2 in an exhibition game Wednesday, spoiling the return of Winnipeg-native Blackhawk Jonathan Toews.

Steven Stamkos, Blair Jones and Winnipeg-born forward Carter Ashton also scored for the Lightning (2-0) in front of a crowd of 14,092 at MTS Centre.

Toews and Patrick Sharp scored for Chicago in the Blackhawks' preseason opener.
